This luxurious resort has the distinction of being awarded “Best Complementary and Alternative Medicine Centre” in the 2008 Spa Asia Crystal Awards. The property also secured the same award in 2007 and, in the same year, it was also named the “Top 10 Best Spa in the World” under three separate categories in the 5th Annual Spa Finder Readers’ Choice Awards.
The COMO Shambhala Estate opened in 2005 as a high-end residential retreat for heal and renewal, and launched as the flagship property of the COMO Shambhala portfolio. The success and popularity of The Estate is due to its unique Wellness Programmes designed to guide guests towards radical lifestyle change.
Guests also benefit from the healthful and locally-sourced COMO Shambhala organic cuisine, which is available at all meals. Added to such healthy pursuits is The Estate’s location – nestled amid jungle greenery on a peaceful riverbank close to the inland, artists’ town of Ubud.
